Modernous worked with this couple to turn their tiny kitchen and dining room into a spacious kitchen with a large entertaining island. Replacing their dining table with bar seating for six, Modernous focused on the functionality of this space for a couple that loves to cook. We prioritized an in-ceiling ventilation system to preserve views to their large, gorgeous backyard and mature evergreens that dot the property.
We gave them storage galore, all new appliances and an architectural tile for the backsplash that is special but doesn’t compete with the views. We worked in the client’s own design for wine storage solution for a personal touch. As a final touch, we worked with them to refurnish their adjacent living room, giving them pops of orange, and a nice neutral backdrop that ties in elegantly with their new kitchen. Elegant barstools complete the kitchen and tie back to the living room design.
